Liliek Prisbawono Adi was born on October 27, 1966. A Constitutional Justice originating from Bojonegoro, he obtained his Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Indonesia in 1992. He later pursued a Master’s degree in Business Law at Universitas Padjadjaran, Bandung, which he completed in 2013. He continued his academic journey by earning a doctoral degree in law from Universitas Airlangga in 2021.

Liliek began his career in the judiciary as a judicial candidate at the Karawang District Court in 1992. His judicial career formally commenced at the Fak-Fak District Court in 1996, followed by assignments at several district courts, including Cibinong, Metro, and Bale Bandung. Over time, he held various leadership positions, serving as Vice Chief and Chief Judge at multiple courts, including Sinabang, Ungaran, Manado, Balikpapan, and South Jakarta, before being appointed as Chief Judge of the Central Jakarta District Court in 2022.

In 2024, he was appointed as a High Court Judge at the Medan High Court. In addition, he previously served as a Judicial Clerk/Assistant Registrar at the Supreme Court.

Liliek was officially appointed as a Constitutional Justice to succeed Anwar Usman, who had reached retirement. He took his oath of office before the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, on Friday (04/10/2026) at Istana Merdeka, Jakarta.

His appointment as a Constitutional Justice was based on Presidential Decree Number 36/P of 2026 concerning the Dismissal and Appointment of Constitutional Justices upon nomination by the Supreme Court.
