JAKARTA (MKRI) — The Constitutional Court (MK) granted the Petitioners’ request to withdraw the petition for case No. 196/PHPU.BUP-XXIII/2025 on the 2024 Lamongan regent election results dispute. The decree for the petition’s withdrawal, filed by Regent Candidate Pair 1 Abdul Ghofur and Firosya Shalati, was delivered by Chief Justice Suhartoyo in the plenary courtroom on Tuesday, February 4, 2025.
'[The Court] grants the withdrawal of the Petitioners' petition for Case No. 196/PHPU.BUP-XXIII/2025," said Chief Justice Suhartoyo while reading out the decree.
The decree was the result of a justice deliberation meeting taking place on Thursday, January 30. They then ordered the chief registrar to return the petition copies to the Petitioners.

In their petition, the Petitioners initially requested the Court to annul the Lamongan KPU decree and to certify the vote acquisition of Candidate Pair 02 at 0 votes, arguing that their vote acquisition was the result of structured, systematic, and massive (TSM) violations. According to the Petitioners, if the votes for each candidate pair were obtained without such violations, Ghofur-Firosya (Petitioners) would have received 327,345 votes, while Efendi-Dirham (Relevant Party) would have received 0 votes. Thus, they requested the Court to annul the Lamongan Elections Commission (KPU) Decree No. 3019 of 2024 on the certification of 2024 Lamongan regent election results.
