JAKARTA (MKRI) – The Constitutional Court (MK) dismissed the petition for case No. 37/PHPU.BUP-XXIII/2025 on the 2024 Pohuwato regent election results dispute. At the ruling hearing, the Court stated that the Petitioners’ petition was vague.
In the legal considerations, delivered by Constitutional Justice Arief Hidayat, the Court explained that the petition did not meet the formal requirements as it lacked clarity and specificity. “Given these reasons, the Court has no hesitation to declare the Petitioners’ petition as vague or obscuur. Therefore, the Respondent and the Relevant Party’s exceptions asserting the petition’s lack of clarity were legally justified,” explained Justice Arief.
Therefore, the Court was of the opinion that the petition was unclear, thus exceptions of the Respondent and the Relevant Party, and testimony of the Bawaslu (Elections Supervisory Body) were not pursued further.

Pohuwato regent-vice regent candidates 01 Yusri M. Helingo and Fatmawaty Syarief argued that there were discrepancies between the C1 form for the regent election and the C1 form for the governor election of Gorontalo, despite both forms being based on the same final voter list (DPT). The Petitioners highlighted that the Pohuwato KPU (Elections Commission) had uploaded the C1 forms for the regent election from TPS (polling station) 2 in Telaga Village, Popayato District, which they claimed to have shown inconsistencies.
