JAKARTA (MKRI) — The Constitutional Court (MK) welcomed Huub Mudde, senior project consultant of the Maastricht School of Management (MSM) on Thursday, November 28, 2024.This visit was for the purpose of friendship as well as discussing the potential for developing inter-institutional cooperation.
The visit was welcomed by Constitutional Justice M. Guntur Hamzah and the Head of the AACC Permanent Secretariat and Foreign Cooperation Section, Immanuel Bungkulan Binsar Hutasoit. In the meeting which took place in Building 1 MK, 14th floor, Justice Guntur Hamzah shared his experiences regarding the challenges and dynamics that occurred after the Regional Head Election (Pilkada). He stressed the importance of thorough preparation.
"We have to prepare everything carefully," said Justice Guntur. He also added that the peak of the MK's busyness occurred when the regional election dispute hearings began.
Furthermore, Justice Guntur expressed his appreciation for the cooperation that has existed between the MK and MSM. He hopes that this good relationship can continue and even be improved through various programs, such as symposium, seminars or other relevant forms of collaboration.
Justice Guntur further said that he was very happy to work with MSM even though he was no longer Secretary General of the Court. He always hopes that the Secretary General of the Court will maintain cooperation with MSM if it needs to be increased. "Perhaps there are collaborations such as Symposiums, Seminars and so on that can be used as collaboration," said Justice Guntur.
According to Justice Guntur, MK and MSM need to increase cooperation if activities need to be held in the form of internships. He considered that with the cooperation, MK employees could learn international law.
On the same occasion, Huub Mudde was invited to meet MSM internship alumnus at a coffee morning held by MK few time ago. He was shown video testimonials from alumni aimed at MSM.
Head of the Public Relations and Protocol Bureau, Pan Mohamad Faiz, in the coffee morning said that cooperation between the MKRI and MSM could become closer in the future, even though during the last pandemic cooperation had stopped. But in the future, hopefully cooperation will get better and will not be limited to just the recharging program, but through other programs.
During the meeting, Huub was also grateful for the good welcome given by the MKRI. He also appreciated the flashback video of the recharging program participants at MSM. He will deliver the video to officials at MSM. Responding to the positive response from alumni of the recharging program, Huub was grateful that the material obtained during the recharging program was ultimately useful for the participants.
