JAKARTA (MKRI) — A candidate for Yahukimo Regency DPRD (Regional Legislative Council) electoral district (dapil) 5 from PKN (Nusantara Awakening Party), Inner Yual, testified that he has ceded his votes to a PPP (United Development Party) candidate. This statement was made in another hearing of Case No. 130-01-17-37/PHPU.DPR-DPRD-XXII/2024, filed by PPP, before Panel 1 Justices, presided over by Chief Justice Suhartoyo and Justices Daniel Yusmic P. Foekh and M. Guntur Hamzah.
"We, other candidates including myself, a candidate from PKN, willingly transfer our votes in favor of PPP candidate," stated Inner Yual in the Plenary Courtroom, Jakarta, on Friday (5/31/2024).
This was supported by testimony from another petitioner's witness, Anek Kambue, who serves as the mandated witness for PPP in Ubahak District, Yahukimo Regency. Anek stated that communities from 17 villages in Ubahak District unanimously agreed to vote for PPP.
"They conducted a meeting of 17 village heads, encompassing 46 TPS (polling stations), with a total of 11,660 votes, unanimously in favor of the United Development Party," said Anek.
He added that the 17 villages in Ubahak District consist of Bisifak, Furuluk, Keleng, Kibianggen, Koluang, Mabien, Nurap, Oblin, Pini, Saruk, Silong, Sosomikma, Suhuntek, Tolombing, Ubahak, Wamuhuk, dan Welile. However, based on the Respondent's (KPU (General Election Commission)) calculations, the vote count for PPP is 4,520 votes, not 11,660 votes. This discrepancy places PPP not in the first position but in the second position after Perindo (United Indonesia Party), which is reported to have acquired 6,340 votes, not zero votes as claimed by the Petitioner in Ubahak District.
