JAKARTA (MKRI) — The Constitutional Court (MK) approved the withdrawal of the DPRD (Regional Legislative Council) election results dispute case for the electoral district of West Java III, filed by Reni Inti Rosdiana. The Decree No. 134-02-06-12/PHPU.DPR-DPRD-XXII/2024 was read on Tuesday May 21, 2024.

“The Court declares the Petitioner’s petition inadmissible,” said Chief Justice Suhartoyo while reading the decree alongside the other eight constitutional justices.

In the decree delivered by Constitutional Justice M. Guntur Hamzah, the Court stated that the justice deliberation meeting on May 15, 2024 concluded that the Petitioner’s absence at the preliminary hearing without a valid reason, despite being lawfully and properly summoned, indicated that the Petitioner was not serious in filing the petition. “Therefore, the Petitioner’s petition must be declared inadmissible,” Justice Guntur emphasized.

Based on letters a through g of the legal considerations, the Court believes there is no need to hold another session to hear the responses of the Respondent (General Elections Commission/KPU), the Relevant Party, and Bawaslu (Elections Supervisory Body) since they would be irrelevant. As such, those responses and the evidence were not considered any further.

Sebelumnya Pemohon dalam permohonannya suara pemohon di dapil Jabar 3 perolehan suara yang diraih tidak sesuai dengan perhitungan suara TPS masing-masing. Suara pemohon diduga adanya permainan money politic yang dilakukan oleh rekan satu partai. (*)
