JAKARTA (MKRI) — The Constitutional Court (MK) held a further hearing on the Dispute over the 2024 election results dispute of the DPR (House of Representatives), Provincial and Regency/City DPRD (Regional Legislative Council) (PHPU DPR / DPRD) in 2024, on Tuesday (7/5/2024). The second hearing of Case No. 262-01-02-31/PHPU.DPR-DPRD-XXII/2024, which the Gerindra Party petitioned, was held by Panel 2 of the Panel presided over by Deputy Chief Justice Saldi Isra with the Constitutional Justices Ridwan Mansyur and Arsul Sani.

Hendry Syahrial in the Respondent's answer (KPU) explained the argument regarding the addition of the National Mandate Party (PAN) votes from 0 votes to 42 votes at polling station 25 Batu Merah Village. According to the Respondent, upon the Elections Supervisory Body (Bawaslu)'s recommendation during the sub-district plenary meeting, the plenary leader responded by reopening form C. The results of the Regency / City DPRD were witnessed by the political parties present in Sirimau District.

"After being examined and recounted, the argument submitted by the Petitioner is incorrect. Because in accordance with form C.Results of Regency / City DPRD that PAN obtained 42 votes. And this has also been declared acceptable by the Petitioner's witness, so that the determination process is carried out again," explained Hendry from the Panel Session Room, Building 2 of the Constitutional Court.

As is known, at the previous hearing the Petitioner mentioned that there had been a counting error that was left uncorrected from the inflation of votes with the mode of adding PAN votes illegally at 10 polling stations in Ambon 2 which was based on the Model C-Copy Result form which was not synchronized with the vote acquisition in the Model D-Copy Result form at those polling stations. For this reason, the Petitioner requested that the Court cancel General Elections Commission (KPU) Decree No. 360 of 2024 on the certification of the 2024 legislative election results of the DPR (House of Representatives), DPD (Regional Representatives Council), and Provincial and Regency/City DPRD (Regional Legislative Council) announced nationwide on March 20, 2024 at 22:19 WIB
