JAKARTA (MKRI) — Great Movement Part (Gerindra) cites a margin of 64 votes in the Preliminary Hearing of 2024 Election Results Dispute to the Constitutional Court. This case, numbered 262-01-02-31/PHPU.DPR-DPRD-XXII/2024, was heard by Panel 2 of the Court, presided over by the Deputy Chief Justice Saldi Isra, Ridwan Mansyur and Arsul Sani on Tuesday, April 30, 2024.
According to the Petitioner, based on the General Elections Commission (KPU) Decision No. 360 of 2024 that announced on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at 22:19 WIB, the vote tally for the Gerindra should be 2,428 votes, while the vote tally for the National Mandate Party (PAN), as reported by the Respondent was 2,417 votes.
Abdul Haji Talaohu continued that the vote margin between the two political parties occurred due to a lack of scrutiny of the results at the plenary recapitulation meeting at the Sirimau II Sub-district level for Ambon 2. This led to uncorrected counting errors from vote inflation, with PAN illegally gaining additional votes at 10 polling stations (TPS) in Ambon 2. This discrepancy was based on the Model C-Result Copy forms, which did not align with the vote tallies recorded on the Model D Result Copy forms at those TPS.
"The accumulation of these alleged violations led to counting errors, resulting in the Petitioner losing a seat in t Ambon 2 for the Ambon City Regional Legislative Council," stated Abdul.
