TANGERANG (MKRI) — The meeting for the drafting of new chief justice regulations (PKMKs) for the resolution of disputes over the results of presidential and legislative election (PHPU) of 2024 continued on Friday, May 5, 2023 in Tangerang, Banten Province. On this second day, the meeting was chaired by Deputy Chief Justice Saldi Isra, alongside Acting Secretary-General Heru Setiawan and Chief Registrar Muhidin.

Meanwhile, Andi Krisna, head of the KPU’s Legal Advocacy and Dispute Resolution Bureau, delivered a presentation on the stages of the 2024 simultaneous election.
He revealed that the 2024 election faced complex challenges because the election will be simultaneous. The organization will not only fall in the hand of the KPU, but also Bawaslu, both being national, permanent, independent election organizers.
He also explained that PHPU resolution, especially on DPRD election, must complete before the regional election candidacy, so the determination of post-PHPU DPRD election results must be carried out before the candidacy of the 2024 simultaneous election. It will be the basis for political parties to nominate their candidates.
He further detailed that the national recapitulation of the presidential and legislative election votes has been scheduled for February 14 to March 20, 2024 or at the latest thirty-five days since the voting. Therefore, there should be anticipatory measure if there are more than two presidential tickets, so the presidential ticket candidates not scheduled for a run-off would file a PHPU petition.
