JAKARTA (MKRI) — The Student Executive Board of the Faculty of Law (BEM FH) of Universitas Islam As-Syafi’iyah, Bekasi, paid an academic visit to the Constitutional Court building on Wednesday, May 20, 2026. During the visit, the students attended a presentation by Legal Analyst, Muhammad Ramlan Aminuddin, as the speaker.

The presentation discussed the Constitutional Court (MK) and the characteristics of judicial review procedural law. Ramlan explained the historical development of Indonesia’s constitution, the background to the establishment of the Court, and the mechanisms for formal and material judicial review of laws.

“Those who wish to file a petition may do so either offline or online. Offline, you may come directly to the Court, while online filing can be done through simpel.mkri.id,” Ramlan explained.

The students were also given an understanding of the Court’s position within Indonesia’s constitutional system and the principles of the Court’s procedural law. The presentation was interactive, allowing the students to gain a direct understanding of procedural law practice at the Constitutional Court.

At the end of the session, the students were given the opportunity to ask the speaker questions. The participants raised various questions, including on the legal standing of Petitioners in judicial review cases and the Court’s role in safeguarding constitutional supremacy in Indonesia. Ramlan then provided comprehensive explanations and responses.

After the discussion session concluded, the student group continued the visit by touring the Constitution History Center to learn about the historical development of Indonesia’s constitution from time to time, including the dynamics of the state administration system and the historical journey of the Court.
