JAKARTA (MKRI) – Students from the Faculty of Law at Achmad Yani University conducted an academic visit to the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Indonesia (MKRI) on Tuesday, January 13, 2026. The visit aimed to strengthen their legal knowledge, particularly regarding the judicial system and institutional dynamics within the constitutional structure.

During the visit, participants received a presentation from Aditya Yuniarti, who provided a comprehensive overview of the Court's position, authority, and working mechanisms. The material covered the background to the Court's formation, the legal basis for its authority as stipulated in Article 24C of the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia, and the Court's strategic role as guardian of the constitution.

Aditya Yuniarti also explained the judicial review process at the Court, including the parties with legal standing, the stages of the trial, and the types of decisions the Court can issue. This explanation provided students with a clear picture of the practice of procedural law at the Court and its relevance to protecting citizens' constitutional rights.

"Justices are not anti-critics, but perhaps because of their position, they can't directly respond to the media; they listen to public criticism," said Aditya Yuniarti in her presentation.

In addition to the presentation session, the Achmad Yani University Faculty of Law delegation also visited the Court's Constitutional Center (Puskon). During this visit, participants were introduced to various constitutional education facilities, legal information sources, and the Court's efforts to improve constitutional literacy for the public and academics.

This visit is expected to broaden students' understanding of constitutional law and the Court's role in upholding constitutional supremacy, while also fostering academic interest in constitutional law in Indonesia.
