JAKARTA (MKRI) – To support the implementation of institutional duties and authorities, the Constitutional Court (MK) organized a State Protocol Joint Technical Guidance (Bimtek) in collaboration with the Presidential Secretariat, Ministry of State Secretariat of the Republic of Indonesia, on Monday, October 13, 2025. This event aims to enhance the competence of Court’s employees to ensure that official ceremonies within the institution are conducted in an orderly, smooth, and compliant manner with national protocol regulations.

Participants of the workshop came from various divisions within the Court, including staff from the Public Relations and Protocol Bureau (HP Bureau), aides, security analysts, court bailiffs, hearing officers, public relations practitioners, and representatives from each work unit, two people per unit outside HP Bureau. To ensure that services to the leadership and office operations were not disrupted, the training was divided into two batches: Batch I on Monday, October 13, 2025, and Batch II on Monday, October 20, 2025, held at the auditorium of Court’s second building.

As the main speaker, Gigih Rizki Yuwantra, Head of Event III Subdivision – Protocol Bureau, Presidential Secretariat, Ministry of State Secretariat, delivered several substantive materials on state protocol. Topics discussed included Basic Concepts of Protocol (seating arrangements, forms of respect, and ceremonies), Substantive Lectures on Protocol, Event Management Techniques, Personal Branding for Protocol Officers, Arrangements for Overseas Visits, and Protocol Simulation, which comprised theory, case analysis, practice, and live simulations.

The event was officially opened by Head of Human Resources and Organization Bureau, Sri Handayani, who emphasized the crucial role of protocol officers as the frontliners in maintaining the image and dignity of the Court.

“The participants come from the protocol unit itself, as well as from the leadership secretaries and receptionists who serve as the frontliners representing the Court’s image, especially in terms of protocol. Protocol might seem simple, but it is actually very important,” Sri Handayani stated in her remarks.

She also highlighted the importance of attention to detail, especially in seemingly minor matters such as guest seating arrangements during official events. “Small details like seating arrangements can become significant when errors occur—especially in the Court, which is a judicial institution. Colleagues must uphold the dignity of the Court through professionalism in protocol duties,” she added.

Furthermore, Sri Handayani encouraged the participants to use the training as a refresher and an opportunity to enhance their capabilities.

“Although this training only lasts one day, I hope the materials provided can refresh your knowledge—especially for those who interact directly with the leadership daily. How you act, speak, and carry yourselves are all essential elements of protocol service,” she said.

Through this event, the Court expects all participants to understand and apply the principles and techniques of protocol professionally, ensuring that every official institutional event is conducted to high standards, reflects the authority and dignity of the Court, and supports the smooth execution of its constitutional duties.
