JAKARTA (MKRI) — The Indonesian Buddhist Students Association (HIKMAHBUDHI) had an audience with the Constitutional Court (MK) on Monday, September 22, 2025 at the meeting room of the Court’s second building. At the meeting, hosted by the head of the Public Relations and Protocol Bureau Pan Mohamad Faiz, the chairperson of HIKMAHBUDHI’s central presidium Candra Aditya Nugraha invited the Court to collaborate in improving the understanding of Pancasila and the Constitution among its members.

Candra explained that HIKMAHBUDHI is an extra-campus organization focusing on social and national activities. The association emphasizes a cadre system for its members to develop and enhance the quality of human resources.

“As a student activist organization, we would like to continue building good relations and collaborate in planning our programs,” said Candra, who was accompanied by the head of Strategic Studies, Research, and Development Dahnan, member of the Inter-Institutional and Higher Education Affairs Division Ananda Budi Setiawan, and secretary Rio Andana.

He explained that HIKMAHBUDHI will hold a national event involving around 500 participants out of 15,000 active members across 51 branches throughout Indonesia. The event, the 9th leadership training under the theme “Reflection on Dharma, Real Action: HIKMAHBUDHI as a Catalyst for National Progress,” is scheduled for early October 2025, aiming to produce progressive members who are aware of and responsive to the fundamental needs of society. For this event, they hope for the presence of Chief Justice Suhartoyo as a keynote speaker.

Pan Mohamad Faiz stated that the Court is open to cooperation with students, as it has been in the past. As he said, collaboration is aimed at fostering institutional relations and expanding networks in education and constitutional awareness.

“In essence, both the Public Relations and Protocol Bureau as well as the Center for Pancasila and Constitution Education are open to cooperation. Hopefully, this is not the first and last meeting, but rather the start of strategic partnerships with all of you,” Faiz remarked.

Head of Public Relations and National Cooperation Division Andi Hakim noted that the Court has collaborated with a number of student organizations as well as universities from various regions. The Court directly involves them in programs currently being implemented, such as public lectures, webinars, and academic collaborations with universities.

“We want to involve them directly in the programs currently underway,” Andi said.

Meanwhile, head of the Center for Pancasila and Constitution Education (Pusdik) Mundiri, who joined the meeting virtually, explained that the Center is currently running programs such as online technical training sessions through Zoom. He added that the Center is actively promoting e-learning programs to reach a wider number of participants compared to conventional in-person sessions.

“With the approval of the leadership, the program agenda will also include materials on understanding Pancasila and the Constitution as well as on the constitutional rights of citizens (HKWN),” said Mundiri.
