JAKARTA (MKRI) — The Constitutional Court (MK) signed the handover of its archives to the National Archives of the Republic of Indonesia (ANRI) on Thursday, August 28, 2025, which took place in the Delegation Room of the Constitutional Court Building. The handover of the MK archives to ANRI took place at the ANRI Corner in the Constitutional History Center (Puskon MK), where the archives are housed.

The handover signing was outlined in the Minutes of the Return of the Constitutional Court's Static Archives from theCourt to the Indonesian National Archives (ANRI), Numbers KN.02.00/9/2025 and 781/BA/TU.06/08/2025. The minutes were signed by the Director of Protection, Preservation, and Protection of Archives at ANRI, Wiwi Diana Sari, and the Head of the Constitutional Court's Center for Research and Case Studies, Kurniasih Panti Rahayu.

Kurniasih, in her remarks, stated that the return of the Court's first decision was necessary to ensure the preservation of the archived documents. She stated that the Court would receive a copy of the decision authenticated by ANRI.

Meanwhile, Wiwi stated in her remarks that the Court would receive a temporary copy while awaiting the ANRI's authentication of the archives, which would be placed in the ANRI Corner at the Constitutional Court's Center for Archival Studies. According to Wiwi, the ANRI Corner demonstrates the collaboration between ANRI and archive enthusiasts.

In addition, the Head of the Court's General Bureau, Budi Wijayanto, revealed that he had visited ANRI several times for consultations on maintaining archives for election dispute cases. Budi stated that the archives returned to ANRI were of significant historical significance to the Court. He stated that ANRI has more adequate facilities to safeguard these historical archives, including the first Court decision, the first decision granted by the Court, and the first ruling.
