JAKARTA (MKRI) — Secretary General of the Constitutional Court (MK), Heru Setiawan, emphasized the fundamental importance of integrity and professionalism for all Court personnel in fulfilling their constitutional duty to uphold the rule of law and protect citizens’ rights.

Delivering remarks at the opening of the Constitutional Court’s Legal Consultation Coaching Clinic—held on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at the Court’s Building I Auditorium—Heru underscored the need for internal strengthening of roles and work ethic as part of the institution’s ongoing development.

“Every employee must give their best, especially in ensuring cases are resolved thoroughly. During working hours, our focus must be on the institution. Family remains important, but our primary responsibility at the office cannot be neglected,” Heru stated.

Heru further reiterated that transparency in judicial processes, particularly at the provincial level, forms a critical part of the Constitutional Court’s commitment to institutional openness.

“Transparency is the Court’s shared commitment,” he asserted.

He also drew attention to the importance of efficient public service delivery, especially in the management of case files, as a key factor in improving institutional performance. Integrity, he added, is a non-negotiable standard for every employee, in line with the Constitutional Court’s role in defending Pancasila, the 1945 Constitution, and the constitutional rights of all Indonesian citizens.

Also speaking at the event, Acting Registrar of the Court, Wiryanto, reminded staff of the dual importance of technological proficiency and a deep understanding of legal substance in delivering high-quality consultation services.

“Consciously or not, every officer must study the content of the Constitutional Court Regulations (PMK). Without understanding the substance, how can they assist those who seek help?” he said.

He explained that legal consultation is not a one-way delivery of information, but rather a collaborative process between counselor and consultee. The process is intended to equip consultees with practical insights, legal understanding, and effective problem-solving approaches.

In a related session, representatives from Hana Bank, Dina Prasetyawatie (Banking Service Support Head) and Hani Prandika Riani (Service Quality Manager), presented on the strategic importance of personal branding for frontline service officers. They highlighted its role in shaping positive public perception and contributing to a professional institutional image.

In addition, they addressed the broader significance of corporate branding in actualizing an organization’s vision and mission. They explained that corporate branding encompasses not only marketing and communication strategy, but also reflects itself in employee behavior, service standards, product presentation, packaging design, and the visual identity of physical outlets.

The speakers concluded that the strengthening of both personal and corporate branding is key to building a professional self-image, leaving positive impressions on clients, fostering sustainable relationships, and unlocking new business opportunities.
