Jakarta (MKRI) – Female students of the Education and Training Agency for Prosecutor Candidates of the Attorney General’s Office of the Republic of Indonesia visited the Constitutional Court on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, to learn about the Court’s practice.

The students were received by legal analyst, Syamsudin Noer, at the Delegation Room. Syam introduced the role of the Court as the final interpreter of the Constitution in resolving legal issues within the society. To him, society may interpret any norms, but if the court has issued an interpretation, they must obey.

Syam also discussed the meaning of the nine constitutional justices. Three from the Supreme Court, three from the House of Representatives, and three from the President, who have to fulfill several requirements to carry the mandate as constitutional justices.

“The selection of nine justices is to maintain balance,” Syam explained.

Based on the Attorney General’s Regulation No. Per-006/A/JA/07/2017 on the Organization and Management of the Attorney General’s Office of the Republic of Indonesia, the Education and Training Agency has a position, duties, and authorities, and functions, among other things, to carry out education and training within the Attorney General’s Office.

In carrying out its duties, the Education Agency also plans and lays out policies for education and training; organizes education and training; coordinates and synchronizes the planning and organization of education and training; and cooperates with other agencies both in Indonesia and foreign countries; supervises, analyses, evaluates, and reports on the organization of education and training; and other functions given by the Attorney General.
