JAKARTA, MKRI – In an effort to enhance safety awareness and emergency preparedness, the Constitutional Court (MK) held a fire safety and emergency response simulation on Friday (1/8/2025). The training session involved Court staff, security personnel, and service officers, with direct guidance from Nurulusianto, a member of the Gambir Urban Task Force under the Central Jakarta Fire and Rescue Agency (Gulkarmat).

Nurulusianto explained several key fire extinguishing techniques and safety procedures to follow during a fire emergency. “One of the most common causes of fires is gas-related incidents, such as those involving these green gas cylinders. If a gas leak occurs and ignites, there are specific techniques that can be used to contain it,” he said, while demonstrating how to properly extinguish a flame coming from a gas cylinder.

During the session, participants received hands-on instruction on how to extinguish fires effectively and safely. Each member of the Court’s security team was also given the opportunity to practice using a portable fire extinguisher (APAR), ensuring they are well-prepared to handle potential fire hazards swiftly and correctly.
