JAKARTA (MKRI) - The Constitutional Court of the Republic of Indonesia has formalized a partnership with Pamulang University (Unpam) through the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) aimed at enhancing public understanding of constitutional law and civic values. The MoU was signed on Wednesday (16/7/2025) by Constitutional Court Secretary General Heru Setiawan and Unpam Rector E. Nurzaman at the Constitutional Court’s headquarters in Jakarta. The event was attended by several key figures, including Unpam Vice Rector IV for Cooperation Oksidelfa Yanto, Dean of the Faculty of Law Taufik Kurrohman, and Head of the Partnership and Cooperation Institute Bobi Agustian. Also present were representatives from the Constitutional Court, including Head of Public Relations and Protocol Bureau Pan Mohamad Faiz, Head of the Domestic Cooperation Section Andi Hakim, and Head of the Domestic Cooperation Sub-Section Fitri Yuliana.
The collaboration seeks to strengthen institutional ties and support educational initiatives that promote awareness of the Constitutional Court's role, the Constitution, and the foundational principles of Pancasila, the Constitution, and the Constitutional Court.
"Through this partnership, we hope to hold various academic activities on campus that will deepen students’ knowledge of the 1945 Constitution and the Court’s work. Therefore, the Constitutional Court hopes to be given space to hold various activities related to understanding Pancasila, the Constitution, and the Constitutional Court on campus," said Heru
In response, Unpam Rector E. Nurzaman welcomed the initiative, emphasizing the importance of bridging classroom learning with real-world legal experience. which is part of the ikey nstitution in upholding rule of law in Indonesia.
"Through this collaboration, students—regardless of their major—will have the opportunity to better understand legal principles and their role as citizens. Our mission is to provide accessible education for all social groups, and legal literacy is a crucial part of that mission, as Unpam's motto, "Sharing for the Nation." Here, we want higher education to be accessible to all groups, this is to break the chain of poverty. That is what the Sasmita Jaya Foundation, which oversees Unpam, to empower communities through inclusive education and help break the cycle of poverty. He expressed hope that the initiative would help prepare future law enforcement professionals and promote a more legally aware society," explained Nurzaman.
For your information, Pamulang University currently offers a broad range of academic programs across 11 faculties, including engineering, law, literature, economics, education, and science. It is ranked 17th among private universities in Indonesia and holds the 50th spot nationally.
