JAKARTA (MKRI), The Constitutional Court (MK) officially commenced the Internship Program for Batch I, July 2025 period, on Tuesday (7/1/2025). The opening remarks were delivered by Head of the Legal Affairs and Registrar Administration Bureau of MK, Fajar Laksono.
In his speech, Fajar emphasized the great opportunity the participants have by interning at the Court, as the Court is where new laws originate, acting as the epicenter of new legal developments. Not everyone has access to the Court, thus he encouraged participants to fully utilize their internship experience.
“Currently, you have a unique opportunity to be closely involved, even within the Court itself, to understand the business processes through which decisions are made, from the initial receipt of a petition to the issuance of a decision. This comprehensive understanding is precisely the knowledge you can gain here at the Constitutional Court,” said Fajar.
According to Fajar, participants will be assigned to various divisions involved in case handling, allowing them to learn firsthand about processes such as constitutional case consultation services, petition reception, administrative procedures in courtroom proceedings, data processing of cases, and other divisions. These experiences will provide participants with insights into the Court’s working culture and courtroom atmosphere.
Fajar also highlighted the supporting role of the State Civil Apparatus (ASN) in the Registrar’s Office and Secretariat-General, who contribute significantly to the performance of the nine constitutional justices.
