JAKARTA, MKRI – The Constitutional Court (MK) held a ceremony to commemorate the Birth of Pancasila Day 2025 on Monday, 6/2/2025, in the courtyard of the Court's Building II in Jakarta. Constitutional Justice Enny Nurbaningsih, who served as the inspector of the ceremony, delivered a speech on behalf of the Head of the Indonesian Agency for Pancasila Ideology Education (BPIP).
“Today, 1 June 2025, we once again commemorate a momentous occasion in the history of our nation: the Birth of Pancasila. This is a day when we not only remember the formulation of our state ideology but also reaffirm our commitment to the noble values that form the foundation of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia,” Enny stated.
She invited everyone to reflect on Pancasila as a great home for Indonesia’s rich diversity—uniting more than 270 million people from various ethnicities, religions, races, cultures, and languages. From the first to the fifth principle, Pancasila contains guiding values that encourage all citizens to build the nation through a spirit of mutual cooperation, social justice, and respect for human dignity.
Enny also reminded attendees of the government's eight priority agendas in the journey toward Golden Indonesia 2045, known as Asta Cita. One of the most fundamental aspects of Asta Cita, she noted, is strengthening the ideology of Pancasila, democracy, and human rights across all dimensions of life—from education and bureaucracy to the economy and digital spaces.
In the digital realm, she emphasized the importance of building collective awareness that cyberspace is not a value-free zone. Ethics, tolerance, and mutual respect must still be upheld. Pancasila should serve as a compass for interaction on social media and other digital platforms.
“Let us stand united against hoaxes, hate speech, and provocation—through digital literacy and the spirit of mutual cooperation,” Enny affirmed.
She further emphasized that the government envisions an advanced Indonesia not only in terms of technology, but also in moral character. A prosperous Indonesia must be measured not just by statistical data, but by the sense of justice and fraternity among its people. A respected Indonesia is one that stands out not only for its economic strength, but also for the integrity and wisdom of its people.
“Let us continue to work hand in hand, safeguard our unity, respect our differences, and instill the values of Pancasila in every aspect of life. May Pancasila be our source of inspiration in contributing to society, the nation, and the state. Long live Pancasila!” Enny concluded.
