JAKARTA (MKRI) - Secretary General of the Constitutional Court (MK), Heru Setiawan, received the Exit Meeting of the Audit of MK 2024 Financial Report  and the Submission of Audit Findings and Results Report (LHP) from the Financial Audit Agency (BPK), Wednesday (05/28/2025), in the meeting room of Building 1 of the Constitutional Court. The BPK Auditor Team was led by Arief Fadillah, Director I of State Financial Audit I of BPK.

"Law and technology must be transformed because both are in sync, each has a way to achieve the goal of human happiness. One wants speed, transparency, (while) the law wants justice," said Heru starting his speech.

According to Heru, if both are combined, justice will be served faster. Heru gave an example, if there are people who utilize artificial intelligence, it will be faster and easier to make requests because they obtain complete data on cases that have been decided by the Constitutional Court. Furthermore, Heru stated that he complied and would follow up on BPK's recommendations. BPK notes will be submitted to the Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court, Deputy Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court, and the Constitutional Justices. This follow-up requires intense interaction so that the Court can make various improvements in accordance with BPK's recommendations.

"We are grateful, and of course we will follow up on BPK's input"

The Court’s Registrar Wiryanto in his speech said that BPK audit results are the portrait of the Court’s performance so far, and whatever the results are, we know what the shortcomings and the overplus we did so far. "I know exactly the shortcomings that were conveyed earlier," said Wiryanto.

Furthermore, regarding the deadline for completing the Judicial Review of the Law, it is indeed difficult to determine, because each case has its own characteristics. Wiryanto emphasized that since the beginning of the Constitutional Court's establishment, it has developed the use of information technology for handling cases, and he himself has also been involved since 2004.

Previously, Arief Fadillah in his presentation explained that the audit of this financial report aims to provide an opinion on the 2024 MK financial report by considering government accounting standards. According to Arief, BPK's recommendations must be followed up, although they do not have to be completed, the progress of their implementation must be visible. On that occasion, Arief said that there were a number of recommendations given by the auditor, including to improve the case handling application, and evaluate a number of regulations to be relevant to current conditions.
