JAKARTA (MKRI) – Secretary General Heru Setiawan welcomed an audience from the Central Board of Former Flagbearer Purna Paskibraka Indonesia (PP PPI) on Friday, May 16, in the Meeting Room on the 10th Floor of the Court Building. Secretary General Heru Setiawan was accompanied by the Head of the Public Relations and Protocol Bureau Pan Mohamad Faiz, the Head of the Center for Pancasila and Constitutional Education Mundiri, the Head of Public Relations and Cooperation Andi Hakim, and a number of other officials within the Court.
PP PPI General Chair Gousta Feriza said that this visit aims to explore partnership opportunities with the Court, especially in the field of education and dissemination of understanding of constitutional procedural law. "We hope to be able to organize workshop that refers to procedural law at the Court. This is a good opportunity. Hopefully in the future a strategic partnership will be established between PPI and the Court," said Gousta.
In line with that, the Head of the PP PPI Graduate and Continuous Training Department, Agusweka P. Siregar, revealed his party's plan to hold a Constitutional Camp program. This event targets junior high school and high school students.
Meanwhile, Marco, one of the PPI representatives, stressed the importance of synergy so that this cooperation runs effectively and provides broad benefits. He highlighted the great potential of PPI alumni who are involved in the legal field, which is considered to be an attraction in making programs with the Court.
Responding to the intent and purpose of the PPI, Secretary General Heru Setiawan welcomed the cooperation initiative. Heru assessed that the presence of PPI as a strategic partner could strengthen the dissemination of understanding of constitutional law among the people, especially the younger generation.
"If we agree, I really agree with the idea that was conveyed by PPI. If you want to play a role in the legal field, then it is important to have a specialization, including an understanding of the Court's procedural law," said Heru.
Heru also explained that in the future, PPI members can be registered to participate in the e-learning program at the Pancasila and Constitution Education Center. Participants will receive materials and certificates related to the legal procedures for judicial review of laws, disputes over general election results and regional head elections.
"This is important so that participants can help spread knowledge about the constitutional rights of citizens," he added.
Head of the Public Relations and Protocol Bureau of the Court, Pan Mohamad Faiz, expressed his support for this collaboration. Faiz assessed that PPI has a wide network nationally and has a strong spirit of nationalism, in line with the Court's vision in increasing constitutional awareness among the community. "PPI has a network throughout Indonesia and has an understanding of nationalism," said Faiz.
The same thing was delivereed by the Head of the Pancasila and Constitution Education Center, Mundiri. In essence, Mundiri welcomes the synergy of cooperation by categorizing each participant with the Court's procedural law.
