JAKARTA (MKRI) — Secretary-General Heru Setiawan conferred the SIKD Award 2024 as well as awards for Best Archivist 2024 and Best Archive Personnel 2024 on Thursday, March 20, 2025. In his remarks, he said that almost all archives in all of the Court’s work units have been digitalized.
He hoped in the future all units will have undergo digital transformation, which simplify record search. He also hoped complete database of physical records in the Court’s archive building in Bekasi will also be managed to streamline record search.
“When digitalization has been completed, there must be additional information indicating the location of the physical records,” he said.
Such archive inventory will allow all Court employees to know the location of the physical documents that they need. Heru hoped archive management will be as streamlined as the Court’s Talent Management, where all records can be viewed real time and thus can be assessed automatically.
He also talked about the records of prospective PPPK (contract-based government employee) that must be completed to prepare for their inauguration. He also expressed appreciation for the archivists’ swift work thus far.
The Human Resources and Organization Bureau won the SIKD Award 2024 for their quick responses in the dynamic archival information system (SIKD). Meanwhile, under assessment by the National Archives (ANRI) and internal verification of archives, the Planning and Finances Bureau (Renkeu) scored the highest in the category of Best Archivist Work Unit 2024, while Rifqi Setiadi won the award for Best Archivist Personnel 2024.
Head of the General Affairs Bureau Budi Wijayanto previously reported that the SIKD Award used to be conferred periodically. “This is the first [SIKD Award] event this year. We will revive it to encourage enthusiasm and attention to our archives, continuous innovations of our archives, and as encouragement for the other work units,” he said.
The SIKD was first founded on the idea of fast and easy management of archives to facilitate an institution’s leadership and the general public. t aims to minimize the manual archives, which could lead to difficulties in finding archives when needed and even loss of archives—a constraint that hinders any organization. It was founded as a solution to archival management issues using information technology. This is in line with the Court’s vision to uphold the Constitution through a modern and reliable judiciary.
The main objective of the SIKD is to provide an easy, fast, effective, and efficient archiving service. The Registrar’s Office and the Secretariat General of the Constitutional Court felt a significant change after using the SIKD application for archive management.
