JAKARTA (MKRI) – The Constitutional Court (MK) ruled the petition for case No. 182/PHPU.BUP-XXIII/2025 on the 2024 Poso regent election results dispute inadmissible. It was filed by Candidate Pair Number 1 Darmin Agustinus Sigilipu-Samsinar Z. The verdict was delivered by Chief Justice Suhartoyo at the ruling hearing on Wednesday, February 5, 2025.
“On the petition’s subject matter, [the Court] dismisses the Petitioners’ petition No. 182/PHPU.BUP-XXIII/2025,” stated Chief Justice Suhartoyo alongside the other eight constitutional justices.
In its legal considerations, delivered by Constitutional Justice Arief Hidayat, the Court stated that the Petitioners did not fulfill the formal requirements for the petition, specifically due to an unclear or vague petition, leading the Court to deem the Respondent and the Relevant Party’s exceptions legally valid. Thus, this petition will not be continued further in the evidentiary hearing.
“Based on the legal considerations mentioned above, the Court finds the Petitioners’ petition to be vague. Consequently, other exceptions, the Respondent's response, the Relevant Party's testimony, Bawaslu’s (Elections Supervisory Body) testimony, and the petition’s subject matter are not further examined,” stated Justice Arief.

At the preliminary hearing on Monday, January 13, 2025, the Petitioners argued that the incumbent Candidate Pair 3 had conducted inaugurations and transfer of state civil apparatus (ASN) in the Poso Regency Government.
The incumbent regent candidate Verna Gladies Merry Inkiriwang was also accused of having used the Poso Regency Government programs for personal benefit, such as through the distribution of elementary school (SD) and junior high school (SMP) uniforms throughout the regency.
