JAKARTA (MKRI) – The Constitutional Court (MK) ruled the petition for case No. 54/PHPU.BUP-XXIII/2025 on the 2024 Buol election results dispute inadmissible. The petition was filed by Candidate Pair 05 Mohammad Agris Dwi Putra Amran Batalipu-Djufrin Dj. Manto. The verdict was delivered by Chief Justice Suhartoyo at the ruling hearing on Wednesday, February 5, 2025.
“On the petition’s subject matter, [the Court] dismisses the Petitioners’ petition No. 54/PHPU.BUP-XXIII/2025,” stated Chief Justice Suhartoyo alongside eight other constitutional justices in the plenary courtroom.
In its legal consideration, delivered by Constitutional Justice Enny Nurbaningsih, the Court explained that the Petitioners did not meet the petition’s formal requirements, specifically due to vague or unclear arguments, resulting in the Respondent and the Relevant Party’s exceptions being legally justified.
“Referring to the above legal consideration, the Court believes that the Petitioners’ petition was vague and therefore other exceptions, the Respondent’s response, the Relevant Party’s and Bawaslu’s (Elections Supervisory Body) testimonies, and the petition’s subject matter were not considered further,” explained Justice Enny.

At the preliminary hearing on Monday, January 13, 2025, the Petitioners alleged Candidate Pair 2 Risharyudi Triwibowo-Mohammad Nasir Dj. Daimaroto had committed vote buying in at least 11 districts and 108 villages.
They also challenged the partiality of the Panwaslu (election supervisory committee), which tended to support candidate pair 2. The partiality was proven by a member of the Lakea District Panwaslu staff, Romi J. Timumun, being involved to promote vote buying in Bukaan Village, Lakea District.
