JAKARTA (MKRI) – The Constitutional Court (MK) dismissed the petition for the 2024 Raja Ampat regent election results dispute filed by Candidate Pair 03 Charles Adrian Michael Imbir and Reinold M. Bula. The Decision No. 190/PHPU.BUP-XXIII/2025 was read out by Chief Justice Suhartoyo alongside the other eight constitutional justices at the ruling hearing held on Wednesday, February 5, 2025 in the plenary courtroom.

In its legal considerations, delivered by Deputy Chief Justice Saldi Isra, the Court asserted that the Petitioners’ petition did not meet the formal requirements. “Therefore, there is no doubt for the Court to declare the Petitioners’ petition unclear or vague,” he stated.

Justice Saldi further explained that since the Court deemed the Petitioners’ petition vague, other exceptions, the Respondent's response, the Relevant Party’s statement, Bawaslu’s (Election Supervisory Body) statement, and the petition’s subject matter were not considered further.

“Arguments for the remainder will not be considered further, as they are deemed irrelevant,” stated Justice Saldi.

Also, the Petitioners proved the involvement of the KPU (Elections Commission) misusing their authority to order and force people with KTP (identity cards) of Warmasen Village to vote without the approval of the KPPS (polling stations working committee) and witnesses from each candidate pair. Meanwhile, in the context of PTPS (polling station supervisors), the Petitioners proved the alleged violation of the code of ethics, the behavior of the oath and/or promise, and/or the PTPS integrity pact.
