JAKARTA (MKRI) — The Constitutional Court (MK) ruled the petition for case No. 117/PHPU.BUP-XXIII/2025 on the 2024 Pangkajene and Islands regent election results dispute inadmissible. The North Tapanuli regent-vice regent candidate pair 1 (Satika Simamora and Sarlandy Hutabarat) filed this petition. Chief Justice Suhartoyo presided over the ruling hearing on Wednesday, February 5, 2025.
“[The Court] adjudicated, on the petition’s subject matter, declaring the Petitioners’ petition for this case inadmissible,” stated Chief Justice Suhartoyo reading out the verdict accompanied by the other eight Justices.
In its legal considerations, delivered by Constitutional Justice Arief Hidayat, the Court asserted that the Petitioner did not satisfy the formal requirements, specifically the unclear or obscure reasons in the petition. As such, the Court viewed the Respondent’s and the Related Party’s exceptions to be legally sound.
“Based on the legal consideration above, the Court viewed that the Petitioners’ petition lacked legal standing. Therefore, the Court will not further consider other exceptions, the Respondent's response, the Related Party's statement, Elections Supervisory Body (Bawaslu) statement, and the petition’s subject matter,” explained Justice Arief.

The Petitioners alleged the Pangkep regent-vice regent candidate pair 1 Muhammad Yusran Lalogau-Rahman Assagaf (the Relevant Party) openly included non-tenure government workers, with their names clearly registered in the Pangkep Regency KPU as campaign team members.
According to the Petitioner, the Pangkep regency KPU (the Respondent) disregards and neglects this matter despite it violates the regulations.
