JAKARTA (MKRI) — The Constitutional Court (MK) dismissed the petition for Case No. 207/PHPU.BUP-XXIII/2025 on the 2024 Mamuju regent election results dispute, filed by Candidate Pair 2 Ado Masud and Damris. In the ruling hearing on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, the Court delivered the verdict along with the other eight constitutional justices in the plenary courtroom.
In its legal considerations, delivered by Deputy Chief Justice Saldi Isra, the Court stated that the Petitioners did not fulfill the formal requirements for the petition. Thus, there was no doubt for the Court to declare the petition unclear, vague, or obscure.
Deputy Chief Justice Saldi Isra continued that due to an unclear or vague petition, leading the Court to deem the Respondent and the Relevant Party’s exceptions legally valid. Thus, this petition will not be continued further in the evidentiary hearing.
“The arguments for the remainder are not further examined as it is deemed to have no relevance,” stated Deputy Chief Justice Saldi Isra.

At the preliminary hearing, the Petitioners stated that Candidate Pair 1 Sutinah-Yuki, the incumbents, had utilized funds from the state budget allocated for Mamuju Regency’s second stage of earthquake relief in 6 districts while campaigning. These districts include Mamuju, Kalukku, Simboro, Tapalang District, West Tapalang, and Bonehau.
The Petitioners requested that the Court disqualify Candidate Pair 01 Siti Sutinah and Yuki Permana who were certified based on the Decree of the Mamuju Regency KPU (Elections Commission) No. 828 of 2024 concerning the certification of candidate pairs for the 2024 Mamuju Regency regent-vice regent election.
