JAKARTA (MKRI) - The Constitutional Court (MK) dismissed the petition filed by South Nias regent-vice regent candidates 03 Idealisman Dachi-Foluaha Bidaya (Idefol) on the 2024 South Nias regent election results dispute. Decision for case No. 288/PHPU.BUP-XXIII/2025 was delivered by Chief Justice Suhartoyo at the ruling hearing held on Tuesday, February 4, 2025.
Constitutional Justice Enny Nurbaningsih stated that the Court found the Petitioners’ petition was filed past the deadline set by Law No. 10 of 2016 on Regional Elections and Constitutional Court Regulation No. 3 of 2024.
"On the petition’s subject matter, [the Court] declares the Petitioners’ petition for Case No. 288/PHPU.BUP-XXIII/2025 inadmissible," stated Chief Justice Suhartoyo alongside the other eight constitutional judges in the plenary courtroom.

In the preliminary examination hearing on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, Candidate Pair 03 Idealisman Dachi-Foluaha Bidaya (Idefol) highlighted the use of fake diplomas by regent candidate 01 Sokhiatulo Laia. Sokhiatulo Laia was suspected of the fake diploma as part of the required documents for his candidacy in the South Nias regent election.
The Petitioners also alleged vote inflation, claiming that Candidate Pair 04 Fajarius Laia-Sifaoita Buulolo received 31,494 votes when, according to the Petitioners, they should have received only 30,894 votes. (*)
