JAKARTA (MKRI) –The Constitutional Court (MK) decided to grant the Petitioners’ request to withdraw the petition for case No. 113/PHPU.WAKO-XXIII/2025 on the 2024 Depok mayoral election results dispute. The decree was read out by Chief Justice Suhartoyo at the ruling hearing in the plenary courtroom.
"[The Court] grants the withdrawal of the Petitioners’ petition for Case No. 113/PHPU.WAKO-XXIII/2025," stated Chief Justice Suhartoyo.
According to Chief Justice Suhartoyo, the decree was the result of the justice deliberation meeting (RPH) on Thursday, January 30, 2025. With this ruling, the Petitioners, namely Candidate Pair 01 Imam Budi Hartono and Ririn Farabi A. Rafiq cannot re-file a petition to the Court. Additionally, the Court will return the petition copies to the Petitioners through the Registrar’s Office.

At the previous hearing, the Petitioners argued that there were fraudulent practices and/or violations in the form of the politicization of ASN (state civil apparatus) or bureaucracy in the 2024 Depok mayoral election. They alleged that these violations had occurred in a structured, systematic, and massive (TSM) manner, thus not representing the actual vote acquisition in the 2024 Depok mayoral election. Therefore, in the petition, the Petitioners requested that the Depok City KPU (Elections Commission) decree be cancelled and that the Court order a revote at polling stations in the districts of Cilodong, Cimanggis, Cipayung, Pancoran Mas, Sawangan, and Sukmajaya.
