JAKARTA (MKRI) — The Court ensures that the completion of the Preliminary Examination Hearing for the 2024 Regional Election Result Dispute (PHPU Kada 2024) is unrelated to the presence of Constitutional Justice Ridwan Mansyur in the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) on Thursday, January 16, 2025.
The Spokesperson for the Court, Constitutional Justice Enny Nurbaningsih stated that the completion of the preliminary hearing on panel 2 was due to the tight schedule and the need to consider the physical condition of the justices.

“It is true that the hearings on Panel 2 had a longer schedule. Perhaps the justices were younger at the time, so they could manage it. However, to maintain our physical well-being, we prefer not to impose such a tight schedule,” explained Constitutional Justice Enny Nurbaningsih.

The presence of Justice Ridwan Mansyur in KPK was to testify as a witness. In fact, the invitation was sent a week ago, but he was just able to visit KPK after concluding the preliminary hearing on panel 2.

The testifying by Justice Ridwan Mansyur as a witness has no relation with the Court, or the cases managed by the Court. He only testified briefly for an hour.

“There was no relation with the hearing at the Court. Nothing about the regional head election [disputes]. No relation at all,” emphasized Justice Enny.

It can also be confirmed that the presence of Justice Ridwan in KPK will not disturb the case handling in the Court, including the regional election result dispute that the Court currently manages.

“I don’t think so. We just finished the justice deliberation meeting for the regional heads [election disputes]. After this, we will do the examination hearing of the parties. In particular, KPU, Bawaslu, Relevant Parties, and the schedule remained the same,” Justice Enny continued.

After the preliminary hearing concluded on Thursday, January 16, 2025 in all panels, the agenda will continue with the examination hearing from Respondent, the Relevant Parties, Election Supervisory Committee (Bawaslu), and validating the evidence from the parties. (*)
