JAKARTA (MKRI) — Regent Candidate 3 Heronimus Mansoben was alleged to have two distinct ID cards, one listing him as an entrepreneur and the other civil servant. This finding was revealed in a document submitted to National Democratic Party (Nasdem), an application submitted to People's Conscience Party (Hanura), and an application submitted to Indonesian People's Wave Party (Gelora), all of which contained his profession as an entrepreneur. On the other hand, in the inauguration document of Supiori Regent dated June 5, 2023 and the letter of approval to Party of Functional Groups (Golkar), Heronimus's ID card states his profession to be civil servant.
The arguments were delivered by Ivan Robert K., the legal counsel of Regent Candidate Pair 1 Yotam Wakum and Marinus Maryar (Petitioners) at the preliminary hearing of Case No. 82/PHPU.BUP-XXIII/2025, which was presided by Chief Justice Suhartoyo (panel chair) and Constitutional Justices Daniel Yusmic P. Foekh and M. Guntur Hamzah on Wednesday, January 15, 2025.
"The Petitioners had filed a report of identity fraud indications to the regency Elections Supervisory Body (Bawaslu) on September 20, 2024, yet there were no follow-up actions," Ivan stated.
The Petitioners argued that due to the identity fraud and/or the use of multiple identity documents in the candidacy application requirement, the Relevant Party should be disqualified from the election. In addition, their vote acquisition should be erased or annulled.
Thus, the Petitioners requested the Court to declare a rectified vote acquisition in the Supiori KPU Decree No. 294 of 2024 so that Candidate Pair 1 Yotam Wakum–Marinus Maryar receive 5,661 votes Candidate Pair 2 Norlin Mamoribo–Hein Korwa receive 855 votes, and Candidate Pair 3 Heronimus Mansoben–Sahrul Hasanudin Nunsi receive 0 votes, adding up to a total of 6,516 legitimate votes.
