JAKARTA, (MKRI) – Kerinci regent-vice regent Candidates 02 Tafyani Kasim and Ezi Kurniawan alleged widespread support from state civil apparatus (ASN) for Candidate Pair 03 Monadi and Murison during the 2024 Kerinci regent election. This allegation was presented by legal counsel Deka Putera on behalf of the Petitioners at the preliminary examination hearing for Case No. 126/PHPU.BUP-XXIII/2025 on the 2024 Kerinci regent election results dispute. The hearing took place on Friday, January 10, 2025 in one of the courtrooms.

The Petitioners stated that ASN support for Candidate Pair 03 was demonstrated through active participation in the campaign and efforts to encourage the community to vote for the pair. Additionally, they highlighted that ASN support was evident on social media, which was used as a platform to publicly endorse Candidate Pair 03.

“The partiality of the State Civil Apparatus (ASN) in the Kerinci Regency Government toward Candidate Pair 03 was openly displayed on social media platforms, particularly Facebook,” stated Deka delivering the petition argument.

The Petitioners argued that the bias demonstrated by ASN constituted a structured, systematic, and massive (TSM) violation or fraudulent practice in the election. Therefore, they contended that the vote acquisition of Candidate Pair 03 should be declared null and void, as it was obtained through TSM violation, which contravenes prevailing laws and regulations.

“The vote acquisition that indicates Candidate Pair 03 as the elected pair is legally invalid and contravenes legal provisions, as it was achieved through unlawful means,” stated Deka.

Finally, the Petitioners requested the Court to order the Kerinci KPU (Elections Commission) to conduct a revote across the regency. They also requested the Court to disqualify Candidate Pair 03.
