JAKARTA (MKRI) — The Constitutional Court (MK) has launched the Constitution Corner at the Garuda Child-Friendly Integrated Public Space (RPTRA) in East Jakarta, demonstrating its commitment to increasing public awareness and understanding of the law, constitution, democracy, and citizens' rights. This initiative provides a dedicated book collection for public use.

"This collection consists of 74 book titles and 252 copies, covering topics on law, the constitution, and education," said Head of the Center for Research, Case Review, and Library Management (Puslitka) Kurniasih Panti Rahayu in her remarks on Tuesday, December 24, 2024

Rahayu hoped the books would enhance public understanding of the law and the constitution, support education and capacity development, and foster collaboration between the Court and the RPTRA library management team.

"May today's initiative bring positive outcomes for all of us, yield sustainable advantages, and boost knowledge of the constitution, democracy, and citizens' rights," she remarked.

Suryanto, Head of the Library Development and Reading Habit Promotion Division at the Jakarta Library and Archives Service (Dispusipda), also expressed gratitude for MK's book donation and shelves. He hoped the resources would encourage public engagement with open spaces, promote literacy, and motivate the community to make full use of the library's collection.

"Your presence is truly appreciated. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone for attending the books and bookshelves handover ceremony from the Court to RPTRA Garuda. This initiative has been made possible through the efforts of Jakarta's 2024 Reading Ambassadors and the guidance of Dispusipda Jakarta," said Suryanto.
