YOGYAKARTA (MKRI) — Deputy Chief Justice Saldi Isra officially closed the evaluation of the resolution of the general election results disputes and the preparation for the resolution of the regional (governor, regent, mayor) election results disputes on Friday, November 22, 2024 at the Alana Hotel, Yogyakarta. In his remarks, he stated that the following week, the Court will simulate the resolution of the regional election results disputes and discuss the duties of the case management team.
"Hopefully we can finish everything in a relatively short time so that once the voting is finished on November 27, 2024, we will all be prepared to face the regional head election disputes.", said Deputy Chief Justice Saldi.
Deputy Chief Justice Saldi also revealed that he believed that all elements in the Court would resolve the Regional Head Election Results Dispute (PHP Kada) case well. Deputy Chief Justice Saldi also hopes that all elements in the Court, starting with Justices and all those who are members of the PHP Kada task force (gustug) will take responsibility together, so that all PHP Kada cases submitted to the Court can be resolved in accordance with the time period determined by law.
"Our prayers are together, especially for spouses, continue to pray for the husbands/wives who work at the Court, hopefully they can carry out their mandate well," concluded Deputy Chief Justice Saldi.
Meanwhile, Secretary General Heru Setiawan reported the results of the events which took place over the past three days. Heru reported eight points from the discussion, including the findings of a performance audit from the Financial Audit Agency (BPK) regarding the resolution of constitutional cases which need to be scrutinized and become a reference for improving services and case handling processes. Then, to strengthen case administration, it is necessary to think of increasing the number of human resources, and to simulate the resolution of PHP Kada cases.
Furthermore, in the discussion of each panel, said Heru, there were several policies that would be considered. In panel one, there is a suggestion to ensure that the data used by the KPU is used in the upcoming regional head elections; working hours of task force employees in petition reception services; requests from relevant parties and amicus curiae requests in the PHP Kada cases.
Meanwhile in panel two, several policies proposed include speeding up evidence checking at the registration desk. Coordination is needed regarding decisions made between panels so that there are no more differences between panels.
Furthermore, panel three's proposals relate to inzage policy, the concept of decisions and decrees, minutes of case files, and case summaries. Then, there was an assignment of constitutional justices and a task force to handle the Ballot Recount (PUSS) and Re-Voting (PSU) cases.
