JAKARTA (MKRI) — The Constitutional Court (MK) welcomed the Ministry of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform for the field verification for the development of the Clean and Serving Bureaucracy Zone (WBBM) for the Court’s Center for Information and Communication Technology (Pustik) on Tuesday, November 19, 2024 at a meeting room in the main building.
In his remarks, Secretary-General Heru Setiawan said that he had prepared a team from MK to conduct a field verification. "The Court has three core functions in handling cases, these phases are related to public services, (namely) the application acceptance phase, the trial phase, and the decision phase, these have been digitalized, there are already procedural laws that regulate these. That these three phases must be transparent because transparency is the spirit of justice," said Heru.
Heru said that each stage of case handling has a digital footprint. This is evidence that can be seen by the public. When the public knows that something is not right, the digital footprint can be used as evidence to report to the The Honorary Council of the Constitutional Court (MKMK).
Heru emphasized that these important phases will be needed by MK in order to face the simultaneous regional head elections (pilkada) which will be held next week. In handling the simultaneous regional elections, all employees become task forces that will wait for the results of the determination of the votes for the regional election candidate pairs from the General Election Commission (KPU) of each region.
In her remarks, head of the Human Resources and Organization Bureau Sri Handayani said that currently there are two work units at MK that will conduct the field verification, namely Pustik MK and Pancasila and Constitution Education Center (Pusdik) MK. The woman who is familiarly called Yani hopes that the WBBM field verification for the MK's Education Center (Pusdik MK) can be conducted before the work period of the regional election task force begins.
Meanwhile, MK Inspector Sigit Purnomo, who previously served as Head of Pustik MK, explained that a number of innovations have been made by Pustik MK to facilitate access for justice seekers and serve the administrative needs of employees in the Registrar’s Office and Secretariat General of MK. Currently, MK uses and develops the Dynamic Archiving Information System (SIKD), an application originally created by the National Archives of the Republic of Indonesia (ANRI). According to Sigit, ANRI as the creator of the application is currently even sending a number of its employees to study the SIKD developed by MK.
Regarding public services, Pustik MK created the application Electronic Case Handling Information System (Simpel) (Simpel) to facilitate access for justice seekers to submit applications to the MK. With the application, Simpel the public can submit applications from anywhere. In dealing with disputes over regional election results, this application Simpel will make it easier for regional election participants to submit applications without having to come to the MK.
