JAKARTA (MKRI) – In an effort to study the structuring and improvement of the management of the Legal Documentation and Information Network (JDIH), the Constitutional Court (the Court) held a sharing session with JDIH managers from the Audit Board of the Republic of Indonesia (BPK RI) on Wednesday (6/11/2024) in the Meeting Room on the 10th floor of Building 1 of the Court. The event was attended by JDIH Management Officials from BPK RI, structural officials, functional legal analysts, other functional personnel within the Bureau of Law and Clerkship Administration of the Court, as well as IT specialists responsible for managing the JDIH application within the Court.
Jenny Merlinda Barita Lubis, a representative of the JDIH management team at BPK, explained that legal information at BPK is specifically developed to support BPK's duties and functions related to auditing the management and accountability of state finances. The JDIH team at BPK, Jenny continued, collaborates with the Bureau of Information Technology to enhance the accessibility of files, making them more searchable through an elastic search feature that enables deep searches, including within the contents of legal documents.
Jenny also explained that JDIH BPK is now available as a mobile application, which can be downloaded from the App Store and Play Store, with content sourced from two JDIH websites managed by BPK. Additionally, JDIH BPK features an Electronic Kiosk and Legal Document Translations.
Meanwhile, Head of the Legal Subdivision of the Court, Romi Sundara, stated that this event is an important opportunity to exchange information regarding JDIH management, which can serve as a reference for the Court. "For the development of JDIH at the Court, we will review six features from BPK that can be used as a reference and potentially implemented in the Court's JDIH," said Romi.
Romi further explained that the Court has sufficient human resources to support the optimal development of JDIH. He also expressed his hope that the Court could continue enriching JDIH features according to institutional needs.
For reference, the Court's JDIH was first developed in 2018 and was integrated with the National JDIH (JDIHN) in 2019. This initiative was launched as part of the Court’s efforts to support transparency and provide easier public access to legal documents and information, including decisions, regulations, and various other legal products issued by the Court.
The Court's JDIH is designed to be continuously updated and developed to meet evolving needs, ensuring its function remains relevant and effective in supporting the Court’s duties and services.
