JAKARTA, MKRI Public Relations – All staff members of the Constitutional Court (MK) participated in the Pancasila Sanctity Day Ceremony on Tuesday (1/10/2024) in the courtyard of MK Building 2. The Head of the Human Resources and Organization Bureau, Sri Handayani, served as the Ceremony Leader. The highlight of the Pancasila Sanctity Day commemoration was marked by a flag ceremony, with one of its key elements being the reading of the Pancasila Sanctity Pledge.

The reading of the 2024 Pancasila Sanctity Day Pledge was an integral part of the ceremony, intended as a commitment to uphold and preserve Pancasila. The Speaker of the House of Representatives (DPR), Puan Maharani, delivered the Pancasila Sanctity Pledge at the Pancasila Sakti Monument in Lubang Buaya, East Jakarta.

In her speech, Puan mentioned the various challenges Indonesia has faced since gaining independence on August 17, 1945. "In reality, many threats have arisen, both domestically and internationally, against the Republic of Indonesia," Puan said.

She continued, saying these threats were possible due to lapses and a lack of vigilance within the Indonesian nation regarding activities attempting to undermine Pancasila as the state ideology. Nonetheless, she expressed optimism that, with a spirit of unity founded on the noble values of Pancasila, the Indonesian people would continue to strengthen the integrity of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia.

"Therefore, we are resolute in our commitment to uphold and practice the values of Pancasila as a source of strength, fostering solidarity to defend, uphold truth and justice for the unity of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia," concluded Puan.(*)
