JAKARTA (MKRI) — The Public Relations and Protocol Bureau held a coordination meeting for organizing webinars using the Constitutional Court’s video conferencing smartboard. The meeting, involving managers of the Court’s video conference facilities from 66 universities, took place online on Thursday, June 13, 2024.
Acting head of the Public Relations and Protocol Bureau Budi Wijayanto stated that the pragmatic goal of the video conference facilities is to optimize its use in promoting constitutional awareness. Webinar speakers would not need to visit the host universities; instead, they can deliver their presentations from anywhere using the Zoom application.
However, Budi said, the host must provide a moderator, MC, and participants. Additionally, other universities should also urge their students to join these webinars, thereby amplifying the spread of constitutional awareness.
Next, head of the Center for Information and Communication Technology Sigit Purnomo stated that this meeting is the Court’s effort to assume its responsibility to follow up on the memoranda of understanding or cooperation agreements with the universities equipped with video conference facilities. He revealed that one of the terms of these agreements is the use of the Court’s video conference facilities for academic activities. He requested that the attending video conference managers promptly report any issues, especially regarding internet connectivity at their locations, to the assigned staff.
In his reporting remarks, head of the Public Relations and National Affairs Department Andi Hakim reported that the preparations for the constitution webinar have reached the finalization stage. He revealed that the Law Faculty of Pancasakti University in Tegal, Central Java will be the first university to host the webinar, and the Law Faculty of Universitas Negeri Sebelas Maret (UNS) will conclude the series of webinars in 2024.
Andi added that the Court, as a judicial authority, also takes responsibility for promoting and developing constitutional awareness. The coordination meeting was held to prepare for a series of constitution webinars of 2024 taking place from July to December 2024, aimed at enhancing constitutional awareness.
