JAKARTA (MKRI) — The increase in Efan Limantika’s votes at 35 polling stations in 7 subdistricts in Dompu Regency by 628 votes was not deemed valid according to the law. This is because, at all of these locations, corrections were made to the regency/city D-result forms during the recapitulation process at the provincial level. This was the Court’s legal consideration read out by Constitutional Justice Ridwan Mansyur at the ruling hearing for the 2024 DPR (House of Representatives) and Provincial and Regency/City DPRD (Regional Legislative Council) election results dispute on Friday, June 7, 2024.
At the ruling hearing for case No. 29-02-04-18/PHPU.DPR-DPRD-XXII/2024, the Court found that at TPS (polling station) 16 of Simpasai Village, Woja Subdistrict, votes for Efan Limantika were reduced as the C-result form showed 12 votes, but the C-result copy showed 2 votes. This has then been corrected to 12 votes during the recapitulation process at the NTB (West Nusa Tenggara) Province level. Then for TPS 2 of Sorinomo Village, Pekat Subdistrict, Efan Limantika’s votes on the C-result form were 14, but on the C-result copy was 0. However, correction had been made at the NTB Province’s recapitulation. Based on all of these legal considerations, the Court was convinced that the Petitioner’s petition had no legal grounds in its entirety.
“[The Court] adjudicated, relating to exceptions: to reject the Respondent’s exception; relating to the subject matter: to reject the Petitioner’s petition in its entirety,” said Chief Justice Suhartoyo delivering the verdict for the case petitioned by Golkar’s (Party of Functional Groups) DPRD candidate number 8 M. Tahir.

At the preliminary hearing on Thursday, May 2, the Petitioner asked the Court to annul the General Elections Commission (KPU) Decree No. 360 of 2024 for electoral district West Nusa Tenggara 6. The Petitioner stated that based on the decree, NTB 6 had 11 seats, and the Petitioner felt more entitled to the tenth seat because the votes obtained by Golkar candidate number 7 Efan Limantika, who was certified as the election winner by the Respondent, obtained additional votes illegally. The Respondent certified 11,802 votes for candidate number 7 and 11,227 for the Petitioner, leading to a difference of 638 votes. This occurred at 35 polling stations in 7 subdistricts in Dompu Regency, including Woja, Pajo, Kilo, Manggelewa, Pekat, Dompu, and Hu’u Subdistricts.
