JAKARTA (MKRI) —  The Constitutional Court (MK) held a continued hearing on the Dispute over Election Results Dispute (PHPU) for DPR, Provincial DPRD, Regency / City DPRD in 2024 (PHPU DPR / DPRD) on Wednesday (8/5/2024). The second hearing of Case No. 41-01-05-18/PHPU.DPR-DPRD-XXII/2024, which DPRD Candidate Lalu Syarifuddin petitioned from the National Democratic Party (NasDem), was held by Panel 2 presided over by Deputy Chief Justice Saldi Isra with the Constitutional Justices Ridwan Mansyur and Arsul Sani. 

The legal counsel of the KPU (Respondent), Agus Koswara, answered the Respondent regarding the vote count at the Central Lombok Regency level from the National Awakening Party (PKB) and the Petitioner. From the results of the vote recapitulation, PKB obtained 20,545 votes and NasDem obtained 20,267 votes. Based on the witness report from PKB, a recommendation was issued by the Central Lombok Regency Bawaslu which asked the Central Lombok Regency KPU to look at and compare the Model C.Results-DPRD Prov form with the D.Results-DPRD Prov form at 41 polling stations spread over 6 villages in the Jonggat District area. Then, as a result of this in the NTB Provincial level recapitulation plenary meeting, the Petitioner's witness filed an objection to the results of the observation of the vote acquisition in Jonggat District.

"For this objection, the NTB Provincial Bawaslu issued two recommendation letters to the Respondent, first in the form of suggestions for improvement to the NTB Provincial KPU to conduct a review of the addition of PKB votes in NTB 8 Dapil in 5 sub-districts. Second, suggestions for improvement to the NTB Provincial KPU to conduct a review of the addition of NasDem votes in the Jonggat District. With these two recommendations, the NTB Provincial KPU ordered the Central Lombok KPU to follow up on this by comparing the Model D.Results of Sub-district-DPRD Prov and C.Results of DPRD-Prov, especially for the vote acquisition of the Petitioner and PKB," Agus explained.
