JAKARTA (MKRI) — The Constitutional Court (MK) held a follow-up hearing for the 2024 election results dispute of the DPR (House of Representatives) and Provincial/Regency/City DPRD (Regional Legislative Council), presided over by Deputy Chief Justice Saldi Isra and Constitutional Justices Ridwan Mansyur and Arsul Sani, on Wednesday, May 8, 2024. The case No. 97-02-04-34/PHPU.DPR-DPRD-XXII/2024, was filed by Mafa Uswanas, a candidate Number 2 of the West Papua Provincial DPRD in electoral district (dapil) West Papua 4.

The General Elections Commission (KPU) legal counsel, Rizky Pramustiko as the Respondent said that the Petitioner's argument regarding the addition of votes for the Party of Functional Groups (Golkar) Candidate Number 1, Amin Ngabalin in Pariwari District as many as 388 votes was incorrect. Because based on a tiered search from Pariwari District to Fakfak Regency to West Papua Province 4, it was proven that there was no vote inflation as argued by the Petitioner.

"The Petitioner did not describe the total votes acquired in Pariwari District because the comparison of votes according to the Respondent and the Petitioner consisting of 52 polling stations in 9 villages in Pariwari district did not have a vote dispute," said Rizky in a hearing to hear to the response from the Respondent and the testimony from the Relevant Parties and Bawaslu (Elections Supervisory Body).

Furthermore, Rizky continued, there were also no records of witness objections or special events during the vote count at the polling station level in 9 villages, Pariwari District, and Fakfak Regency. In addition, there were no recommendations from the Pariwari District Supervisory Committee, and witnesses from Golkar signed the D. Result form of Sub-district-DPRPB (West Papua House of Representatives) at the Pariwari District level, Model D. Result form of Regency/City-DPRPB at the Fakfak Regency level, and D. Result form Provincial-DPRD at the West Papua Province level dapil 4.
