JAKARTA (MKRI) — The National Awakening Party has filed a petition over the 2024 DPR/DPRD (House of Representatives/Regional Legislative Council) election results to the Constitutional Court (MK). According to the PKB (Petitioner), there is a margin of one vote affecting the results obtained by the PKB and the Democratic Party to get the final seat of the Pohuwato Regency DPRD Electoral District (Dapil) 5, Gorontalo Province.

According to the KPU, the Democratic Party received 1,712 votes, but according to the Petitioner, they obtained 1,711 votes. There is a margin of one vote at polling stations (TPS) 4 South Buntulia Village, Duhiadaa District. It is impacting the acquisition of the final seat in Pohuwato Regency DPRD 5. 

"The fourth seat, Your Honor, there are four seats in this electoral district," said the Petitioner's legal counsel, Erry Ayudhiansyah in the Plenary Courtroom on Friday (3/5/2024). The Case No. 148-01-01-29/PHPU.DPR-DPRD-XXII/2024 was presided over by panel 2—Deputy Chief Justice Saldi Isra, Ridwan Mansyur, and Arsul Sani.

The petitioner has raised an objection during the plenary recapitulation of the Duhiadaa level. However, the KPU ignored the objections and failed to verify the accuracy by opening the ballot boxes and conducting a recount..

In his Petitum, the Petitioner requests the Court to annul the General Election Commission (KPU) Decision No. 360 of 2024 on the certification of the 2024 legislative general elections results of the DPR (House of Representatives), DPD (Regional Representatives Council), and Provincial and Regency/City DPRD (Regional Legislative Council) announced nationally on March 20, 2024 at 22:19 WIBas long as it is limited to Dapil 5 for the Pohuwato Regency DPRD in accordance with the arguments in the petition. The Petitioner requests a revote for TPS 4, South Buntulia Village, Duhiadaa District, Dapil 5 on canceling the corrections made by the KPU. The correct vote results are as follows; PKB 1,711 votes, and the Democratic Party 1,711 votes.
