JAKARTA, MKRI – Constitutional Court (MK) held preliminary court of general election results dispute (PHPU) of Regional Legislative Council (DPRD) Province Candidates for Papua Pegunungan Electoral District (Dapil) Tolikara 4, on Friday (5/3/2024) in the plenary courtroom. Case No. 108-02-14-37/PHPU.DPR-DPRD-XXII/2024 was filed over by Orgenes Wanimbo from the Demokrat Party.
Hendrik Tomasoa representing the Petitioner argued that he lost 10,507 votes. This happened because the Petitioner's vote was eliminated by the Chair and Members of the Biuk District Election Committee (PPD), Karubaga PPD, and Nelawi PPD. The Petitioner alleged that his votes were transferred to four legislative candidates from PKS, PDIP, PBB, and PKB.
Therefore, on his petitum, The petitioner asks the Court to cancel the General Elections Commission (KPU) Decree No. 360/2024 throughout the Tolikara Regency DPRD member electoral district, throughout the Tolikara 1 Electoral District from the Democratic Political Party Number 1 in the name of the Petitioner.
