JAKARTA (MKRI) — The National Mandate Party (PAN) has filed a petition over the 2024 legislative election results to the Constitutional Court (MK). The preliminary hearing for the case took place on Thursday, May 2, 2024, presided over by Constitutional Justices Arief Hidayat (panel chair), Anwar Usman, and Enny Nurbaningsih on Panel 3.
In case No. 239-01-12-06/PHPU.DPR-DPRD-XXII/2024, PAN questioned the General Elections Commission (KPU) Decree No. 360 of 2024 on the certification of the 2024 legislative election results of the DPR (House of Representatives), DPD (Regional Representatives Council), and Provincial and Regency/City DPRD (Regional Legislative Council) announced nationwide on March 20, 2024 at 22:19 WIB as it pertains the DPR election in South Sumatera Province.
However, when the hearing was in session, neither PAN nor its legal counsels were present either online or in person. “The Petitioner of case No. 239-01-12-06/PHPU.DPR-DPRD-XXII/2024 has been summoned to the hearing but it is absent,” said Constitutional Justice Arief Hidayat, who then pounded the gavel to adjourn the session.
