JAKARTA (MKRI) — The Party of Functional Groups (Golkar) filed a petition for the 2024 legislative election results dispute of the House of Representatives (DPR), Provincial Legislative Council (DPRD), Regency/City Legislative Council (DPRD) candidates. The preliminary hearing was presided over by the Constitutional Justices Arief Hidayat (panel chair), Anwar Usman dan Enny Nurbaningsih, on Thursday, May 2, 2024.

Under the case No. Perkara Nomor 272-01-04-06/PHPU.DPR-DPRD-XXII/2024, legal counsel Andriyansyah stated that the Petitioner objected to the General Elections Commission (KPU) Decree No. 360 of 2024 for the DPRD election of North Musi Rawa Regency, throughout the North Musi Rawas Electoral District because the results of the calculation carried out by the Respondent allegedly contained errors in recapitulating the results of the vote count at 17 polling stations, which are Embacang Lama Village with 4 polling stations, Embacang Baru Ilir Village with 6 polling stations, and Embacang Baru Village with 7 polling stations.

"The Petitioner also found several allegations of voting violations in the General Election of election for the DPRD candidates of North Musi Rawas Regency, in electoral district (Dapil) 2. In addition to counting errors and allegations of election violations carried out in a structured systematic and massive manner, there are also findings of facts relating to violations of procedures or at least irregularities related to the provisions and procedures for general elections that are detrimental to the Petitioner, such as ballot boxes that were not delivered by the polling committee (PPS) of Embacang Lama Village, Embacang Baru Village, Embacang Baru Ilir Village as specified time," he said.

For this reason, the Petitioner requests that the Court to cancel the KPU Decree No. 360 of 2024 on a quo case and the results of the recount votes at 17 polling stations in the problematic villages, also to order a revote in the 17 polling stations mentioned.
