JAKARTA (MKRI) — The Functional Groups Party (Golkar) has filed a petition over the 2024 DPRD Regional Legislative Council (DPRD) election results to the Constitutional Court (MK). The preliminary hearing for case No. 184-01-04-02/PHPU.DPR-DPRD-XXII/2024 took place on Thursday, May 2, 2024 in the Preliminary Courtroom.

However, the votes of parties and candidates that were inputted into Sirekap at the plenary in the Regency level were sourced from Model D. Simuk Subdistrict Results dated March 5, 2024.
"Based on the subdistrict results dated March 5, 2024 (the changes results) there has been an increase in Golkar Party votes by 7 votes, an increase in candidate number 1 votes by 2 votes, and a reduction in candidate number 2 votes by 853 votes. However, when he accumulated, the Golkar Party's party votes and candidate votes have decreased by 844 votes, and there has been an increase in the PDI-P Party's votes by 60 votes," he explained.
The petitioner mentions the D. Sub-district Results that have been changed at the time of the Recapitulation Plenary at the Regency level, the Applicant through the mandate witnesses present has submitted an objection to the results of the Simuk Sub-district Results. According to the Petitioner, the change in the Simuk Sub-district Result D. The change was conducted by the Simuk Subdistrict PPK without being attended by political party witnesses.
If the General Election Commission (KPU/Respondent) does not make changes to the Minutes and Certificate of Recapitulation of Dispute Vote Counting of Political Parties and Candidates for Members of the DPR Regency/City from each polling station copy (polling stations from 6 villages) in the Sinuk Subdistrict and change the vote acquisition figures of political parties and candidates for DPRD members unilaterally and illegally. Therefore, the Petitioner should have gotten the 3rd highest number of votes and unit number 2 and the Golkar Party should have gotten the first highest number of votes to fill the members of the South Nias Regency DPRD,
"Based on the entire petition as mentioned above, the Petitioner requests the Court to cancel the Decree of the General Election Commission Number 360 of 2024 as far as the filling of the vote acquisition of political parties and candidates to fill the South Nias Regency DPRD, South Nias 6," said Brodus.
