JAKARTA, MKRI - Muhammad Zamharir as the Democratic Party Candidate Number 2 filed a petition  on Legislative election result disputes (PHPU) for DPR-DPRD (House of Representatives-Regional Legislative Council) . The hearing for case No. 210-02-14-18/PHPU.DPR-DPRD-XXII/2024 was held by Deputy Chief Justice Saldi Isra and Constitutional Justices Ridwan Mansyur and Arsul Sani on panel 2 on Thursday, May 2, 2024.

The Petitioner noted numerous issues in the election, including 19 problems identified by Bawaslu in the voting and vote counting on February 14, 2024. These comprised 13 voting problems and six vote counting issues. According to Najamuddin, the Petitioner's legal counsel, Sirekap was inaccessible in 11,233 TPS, and polling station supervisors at 1,895 TPS were not provided with Model C.Copy Results. Additionally, discrepancies were found in the Model C.Copy Results given to witnesses. The Petitioner argued that there was negligence and deliberate mistakes by the PPK of Sandubaya Sub-district, Mataram City, which were subsequently ratified by the Plenary Meeting of the KPU of Mataram City.

“The Petitioner requests  the Court to cancel KPU Decree No. 360 of 2024 concerning the Determination KPU of the President and Vice President, Members of DPR, DPD, Provincial/Regency DPRD nationally announced on Wednesday, March 20, 2024. The Petitioner also requested the Court to declare the correct vote acquisition as 3,984 for the Petitioner and 3,981 for PKS, and ordered the KPU to implement this decision, said Najimuddin.
