JAKARTA (MKRI) — Legislative candidate of the Great Movement Party (Gerindra) Mustofa filed a petition of the 2024 General Election Results Dispute (PHPU) to the Court on the acquisition of seats for Bekasi City DPRD members in Bekasi City 1. He questioned the difference of three votes between the acquisition determined by the Respondent (KPU) and the Petitioner’s own version.

The Petitioner said that the Respondent determined his vote count as 5,598 votes, which was three votes less than his version of 5,601 votes. The reduction of the Petitioner's votes occurred at polling station 60 Jakasetia Village, South Bekasi Subdistrict by two votes and another vote occurred at polling station 137 Aren Jaya Village, East Bekasi Subdistrict.

Meanwhile, there was an increase in votes for another Gerindra candidate, Yadi Hidayat, by 30 votes at polling station 36 in South Bekasi Subdistrict and polling station 104 in Jaka Mulya Village by 19 votes. He has submitted a report related to alleged election violations to the Bekasi City Elections Supervisory Body (Bawaslu), but it was not followed up so that it became a reference by the KPU to issue KPU Decree 360 of 2024.

“Until this application was made, there has been no follow-up from Bawaslu Bekasi City,” said the Petitioner’s legal counsel Samsudin Nurseha in the Panel Courtroom of Building 2 of the Court, Central Jakarta on Tuesday, April 30, 2024.

The Petitioner requested that the Court cancel KPU Decree Number 360 of 2024 concerning the Determination of General Election Results for Members of the House of Representatives (DPR), Regional Representatives Council (DPD), Provincial Regional Legislative Council (DPRD), and Regency/City DPRD nationally in the 2024 Election as long as in Bekasi Electoral District 1. He also requested that the Court determine the correct vote acquisition results for the filling of Bekasi City DPRD candidates as long as in Bekasi Electoral District 1 from Gerindra. According to the Petitioner, Mustofa's vote count is 5,601 votes.

The Case No. 86-02-02-12/PHPU.DPR-DPRD-XXII/2024 was heard in Panel 1, presided over by Chief Justice Suhartoyo and Constitutional Justices Daniel Yusmic P. Foekh and M. Guntur Hamzah.
