JAKARTA, MKRI – The Constitutional Court held a preliminary hearing on the Dispute over Election Results (PHPU) for Members of the DPR, Provincial DPRD/DPRA, Regency/City DPRD/DPRK in Bengkulu Province, Central Bengkulu Election District (Dapil) 3 for Case Number 192-01-12-07/PHPU.DPR-DPRD-XXII/2024 at Panel 3, Building 1 of the Constitutional Court, Tuesday morning, April 30, 2024. The session presided over by Constitutional Justices Arief Hidayat (panel chair), Anwar Usman, and Enny Nurbaningsih.

The National Mandate Party (PAN), represented by Chairman Zulkifli Hasan and Secretary General Eddy Soparno, as the petitioner. They, through their legal counsel, Audy Rahmat, submitted a withdrawal of their petition.

During the hearing, the Petitioner’s legal counsel said that the withdrawal of the petition was at the direction of PAN Chairman Zulkifli Hasan. No additional explanation was provided regarding the reason for the withdrawal.

"As of today, our legal counsel team has received direction from the chairman to revoke the case a quo. Therefore, through this hearing we would like to submit a letter of revocation for the case," said Audy Rahmat.

Initially, the Petitioner argued that General Elections Commission (KPU) action in validating four votes for United Development Party (PPP) was unlawful in Central Bengkulu District 3.
